Due to the limitations of in-game track editor, some Stunts fans created their own track editing tools.

At the beginning, it was mainly to create new terrains, as SHIFT+F1 feature of in-game track editor was not known. Then, they became more and more "real" track editors, and some of them allowed to create funny tracks not possible to create with in-game track editor, like bug tracks or illusion tracks.

Here is the list of external track/terrain editors :

- Track Blaster Pro (both track and terrain editor)
- Track Editor (both track and terrain editor)
- TER3 (only terrain editor)
- Stunts Land Editor (only terrain editor)
- Stunts Map Editor (only terrain editor)
- Stunts Terrain Editor (only terrain editor)
- Stunts Scenery Generator (only scenery editor)
