Alain “il Professore” is a French Stunts racer and team organiser from the community’s early-2000s boom. A member of the so-called Golden Generation, he co-founded Orion in 2002, won the ZakStunts drivers’ championship in 2003, created the two-driver outfit Mimas Racing for the 2004 season, and later returned in 2009 for the ZCT100 celebrations. He's active from 2025 in Hyperion Racing Team.
Career
Early years and Orion (2002–2003)
Alain joined the international scene in mid-2002 and, together with Mingva, launched the Orion team. During the 2003 ZakStunts season he became one of the most visible competitors, combining pace, intense practice and tactical teamwork; he is listed as 2003 overall champion on the competition’s season summary. See Alain and ZakStunts – season history.
In 2002 he split from Orion to found Hyperion, a one member team. Across late 2003 he featured in multiple series (ZakStunts, LOL, USC, IRC), with Orion fighting for team honours. Community news of November 2003 records podiums on ZCT31 “Dickingham Palace”, a decisive stretch in Stunts LOL, and activity in IRC (Vilnius). See the period articles and archives on ZakStunts.
2003 season
Alain’s breakout year came in 2003. Racing for Orion, he won the overall ZakStunts championship as the calendar introduced the Pro/Am dual league and a packed sequence of classic tracks. The year featured a mid-season run of victories, a late-season push that sealed both the individual and team titles, and parallel outings in side series such as the Indy Racing Cup (IRC).
- May — ZCT25 “Mudness” (LM002)

- Year outcome
Alain was crowned 2003 ZakStunts champion, with Bonzai Joe and Akoss Poo completing the podium; Orion took the team title. He was on the podium of IRC 2003 on the 3rd place while Alan Rotoi won the same season.
Mimas Racing and 2004
At the turn of 2004 Alain and Mingva set up Mimas Racing. A highlight came on ZCT40 “High Five” (July 2004), which Alain won driving the Melange (1:21.50). See the round page: ZCT40.
Later activity (2005–2010)
Alain remained an influential community figure through the mid-2000s. In 2006 he collaborated closely with Brazilian racer Renato Biker; a retrospective credits Alain with finding a late shortcut on ZCT68 that helped secure Renato’s 2006 title (Renato first, Alain second, Ayrton third). See “Renato Biker, a Titan among Racers”.
He stepped away afterwards and reappeared with the ZCT100 commemorations in 2009, when returning veterans formed or joined new rosters; the Average Joe page notes Alain among the names associated with that wave. See Average Joe.
Come back (2025–?)
Alain founded Hyperion Racing Team and invited Victor Narl to build the project.
Style and community role
Alain’s nickname references F1 champion Alain Prost (“Il Professore/Le Professeur”) and signals a methodical approach: careful reconnaissance laps, strong rhythm on technical cars, and outspoken views in rules discussions. Pages on Orion and season previews frequently cite him among the pace-setters, and later articles recall his role in the evolving consensus around replay practice and competitive etiquette. See Orion and Online Stunts Competition History, Part 2.
