The Melange XGT-88 is, from all custom cars, arguably the best known and most widely deployed in competitions, and is among the favourite cars of a number of racers. Developed by Alan Rotoi, it was released in February 19th of 2003. The Melange has long been considered the third of the IMSA sibling cars with near-official status, and on track, it is close, but not identical, to the original IMSA cars in terms of speed, acceleration and handling - but with one additional feature : a remarkable potential for magic carpets. As for visuals, the Melange mixes features from a number of cars, having the body of the NSX paired to the LM-002 dashboard fitted with a convenient digital speedometer. With the availability of stressed, though, it became possible to implement Alan Rotoi's original concept for the car; and a graphical update performed by CTG was released in December 2012.

The teaser was a prank to publish the new changes without showing them. The second video, the farewell, was inspired in a known scene from Fast & Furious 7. The two versions of the car race in a long straight until both follows different ways. Both cars race at the same speed and acceleration. It meant to show it is the same car and only was an aesthetic update. To get the acceleration effect the old version was driven by the opponent Skid Vicious and the new version was driven by Alan Rotoi in automatic transmission. It is known that Skid Vicious drives like an automatic transmission user. The third and last video is a car showcase with details of the car specs and performance, evolution of the model, the new paintjobs and a clip making stunts on different tracks.

Alan Rotoi in 2021 released the aesthetic update completing the work under the name of "19th Anniversary". The update is on the dashboard and a new 3D shape. There was a three advertising video campaign:

Finally, the 17th March of 2024 the version 1.0 was released fixing few details. This stylized version is the official Melange XGT-88 v1.0. A live race was celebrated where all versions were used by the 7 racers: Duplode, Alan Rotoi, Overdrijf, Dreadnaut, KyLiE, Erik Barros and Cas
