Alain “il Professore”
Hi! I’m Alain, also known as Alain il Professore. I race, write, manage a competition and help organise things around the classic 1990 racer Stunts. The nickname is a nod to Formula One legend Alain Prost (often called “Il Professore”/“Le Professeur”) and to my fondness for methodical laps, notes, and track study.

Quick links
- My racer profile (external): ZakStunts
- Teams I’ve raced with: Orion, Mimas Racing, Average Joes, Hyperion Racing Team
- Contests I follow and contribute to: ZakStunts, ISA competition, IRC, USC, HOTU, StuntsLoL, Race for Kicks, Dosreloaded.
- Pages I’ve written/expanded: Ben Snel, Mingva, Argammon, Ruepel, Sylvain Chabert, Mimas Racing, Orion.
- Nickname project: Origins of Stunts racer nicknames (Prost / Alan Rotoi / Ben Snel, etc.)
Racing profile
- Style: clean lines, perfectly replay handling curves to perfection, rhythm and ranking consistency first; strategic use of replay handling; curiosity for how physics quirks and average-speed math work in Stunts.
- Strengths: long-run pace, reconnaissance replays, team support (car testing, telemetry, strategy notes), documenting track tricks so others can learn.
- OWOOT & ARH: I enjoy OWOOT challenges and I’m transparent about replay posting, I won the first ever position time bonus, and love sharing my replays with teammates, allowing them and opponents to learn from my driving techniques. See OWOOT and Advanced Replay Handling for context.
Teams
- Orion (2002–2003)
Co-founded the core with Mingva, joined by Krys Toff, Leo Ramone, briefly joined by Argammon and later by Myron. Raced throughout the “Golden Generation” era. Team highlights include strong podium streaks and the push toward 2003 titles.
- Hyperion (2002)
Briefly founded a one member team to protest against ISA/IRC rules and came back to Orion.
- Mimas Racing (2004)
Two-driver project with Mingva for the 2004 season on ZakStunts. See the team page Mimas Racing and ZCT40 for a season highlight.
- Orion (2005–2006)
Reviving the team project with Mingva, vamologocomisso, and Renato Biker. Team highlights include again strong podium streaks and the push toward 2006 title.
- Average Joes (2009)
A brief two races come back with Renato Biker, dstien and Paradisio (Mingva's alias). Places in two races, ZCT100 respectfully honoring a community pledge, and ZCT101.
- Hyperion Racing Team (2025)
I founded a new team project with Victor Narl on august 2025.
Selected highlights
- Strong November 2003 run across multiple series (LOL/USC/IRC) during Orion’s title chase.
- ZakStunts podiums and teamwork contributions during ZCT31–ZCT32 stretch (late 2003).
- 2004 season with Mimas Racing; see ZCT40 “High Five” for a memorable result.
(For full results, check my external profile on Alain and the per-track pages on this wiki.)
Writing, artwork & research
I like preserving community history and making it easy to discover:
- Short bios and fact-checked summaries: Ben Snel, Mingva, Argammon, Ruepel, Sylvain Chabert
- Team history: Mimas Racing
- Culture & trivia: Origins of racers' nicknames
- Developer focus: Kevin Pickell (notes on physics/average speed/centerline)
- Maintaining a fanzine about Stunts lore and people: [Stunts'R us website]
- Stunts Valhalla comic (2003–2004) I authored the art work and scenario.
What I’m working on
- Cleaning up early-2000s archives (news posts, wayback machine relevant snapshots, forum context).
- Adding succinct, neutral, sourced notes to racer and team pages.
- Keeping how-to pages friendly for newcomers (setup, rules, and fair-play conventions).
- Car design projects (Renault 5 turbo Prost 1982 by Alain il Professore)
Contact
- Forum: Stunts Forum (handle “al il professore”) — forum.stunts.hu
- Team website: Hyperion Racing Team website
- If you spot an error on any page I edited, leave me a note on this talk page and I’ll fix it.
Thanks
To everyone who still races, organises, documents, or just drops by to watch a replay: you keep Stunts alive.
