LeStunts refers to a tradition of racing events ran under a code which combines live racing and endurance racing.

The original Le Stunts (2002)

8 mins of "Le Stunts" was introduced to Stunts life by ISA head member Pershing II in July 2002, as a new sort of competition. Pershing designed a track called 'lestunts', which is in effect endless (the finish line being in a separate dual-way path), allowing racers to complete several laps. Between 15th - 21st of July registered participants had to arrange time for meeting at the Stunts chatroom. Racers were given 15 minutes to drive for a duration of 8 minutes on the track. The same 'lestunts' track was used by everyone, but the terrain was slightly changed for each user in order to prevent cheating. Within the available 15 minutes racers had to download their own very special track, drive on it and send the replay to Pershing II! LeStunts was a unique kind of live racing, aiming to reduce RH usage.

A winner would have been a team of 3 members, completing the most distance in the 8minute race period, similar to the 24 hour race of Le Mans... The available cars were: Porsche 962 and Jaguar XJR9. You could choose freely between these two cars. Two teams registered for the first - and so far the last - LeStunts event: Alain, Mingva and Alan Rotoi represented Orion team, while Zak McKracken, Bonzai Joe and Juank23 formed another one. Around the 27th of July Orion in effect won the race, as the other team did not finish the race.

Le Stunts revival (2012 and 2013)

Ten years after the original event, CTG revived the Le Stunts concept. Le Stunts then consisted of a series of ad hoc races, organized through the Stunts Forum and the forum chatroom and managed collectively by the racers. The rules are similar to the ones of the 2002, the main changes being that racers compete individually and that the time for completing the replay was shortened to 12 minutes. Races are held in weekends, with racers meeting at the forum chatroom and driving at the same time, as in a live race. Participation is open to anyone interested who happens to be at the forum by the time of a race.

CTG, who otherwise would have had the second best result, was disqualified for positing his replay 21 seconds late. Duplode didn't finish the race due to an accidental restart. Alan Rotoi, Argammon and Chulk did not race, but were present at the chatroom during the event.

2014 to 2020

After the initial Le Stunts revival, over the next several years races were held at irregular intervals to keep the concept alive. Starting from this period, Le Stunts events often featured more than one race each.

The tracks in this event were picked from Overdrijf's QR (short for "Quarantine Rooms"), a very clever set of nine mini-tracks in a single TRK file.

A modified version of Cactus would later be featured in the inaugural race of Daniel3D's No Time Travel competition.

2022 onwards - Scheduled live events

Since 2022, acting on a suggestion by dreadnaut, LeStunts events started being scheduled in advance at the beginning of each season. For each event, one or two racers were named as organisers, thus taking up the responsibility of providing the tracks, naming the event, advertising it, and so forth. This resulted in a very good boost for the concept, with better planned events in predictable dates. Additional events can be added to the ones in the main calendar, depending on the availability of racers and organisers.

KyLiE cast a poll to pick a car for the race and the CERV III was the chosen one. Daniel3D and dreadnaut had planned to attend but both had difficulties.

Notes: This endurance racing event had special rules. There was a total of 8 minutes to complete five laps on each of the tracks, the last one of which had to return to the start/finish line. One of the laps was also to be a "joker lap", driver's choice which lap, which meant it'd follow a special, longer path.

2024-03-17 - Generations

Notes: The event was meant to celebrate the evolution of the Melange XGT-88 and each racer could use any of the versions of the car of the different generations, hence the event name.

Notes: This event featured a single track. Cas designed one circuit and then Erik Barros designed a parallel circuit on the same track, thus the combined authorship. Then, two races were held, one on each circuit.

2024-06-15 - Stunts Online Race

Notes: This event wasn't an endurance race using a format like the Le Stunts one. It consisted of a series of 10-minute long NoRH races held over the internet using online DOSBox and HunterBoy344's Stunts Online platform. In any case, as a live racing event scheduled as an extra date in the 2024 calendar, it is well worth mentioning here.

Details: This was the first LeStunts race to be broadcast live via YouTube. Scheduled as an extra live racing event, in tandem with the September 7th race in the following weekend.
